I have been seeing Dr. Braunstein for about 7 years and loved how he cared for me. He truly seemed to care and was focused on me during my appointment. You don't often get this type of treatment from doctors these days. I will truly miss him. My heart goes out to his wife and family for their great loss.

My mother and I were disheartened to hear about the passing of Dr. Braunstein. He was my father's (Jack) cardiologist. My Dad truly loved Dr. Braunstein and appreciated his efforts and encouragement to help him sustain the life that he loved. I know that my Dad is now surprised, but happy, to see his favorite cardiologist in heaven with him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife (Wendy) and family.

We met Eric while walking our dogs at the UOP campus park. We quickly became friends and regulars of the dog walking group at the park for several years. Eric was a great friend. Equally adept at talking and listening, it was always fun to be in his company. With Wendy and he, we shared many fun times at Sho Mi Restaurant, at the Greek Festival or just hitting the tennis ball for our beloved dogs in the park. We knew he was a dedicated doctor, as he was often on the phone to the hospital to monitor his patients. Yet, he took the time to connect with people of all walks of life and genuinely took an interest in their lives. We lost touch with Eric and Wendy the last few years after they moved. It was with great sadness that we received the news of Eric's passing.
See you Eric, rest in peace my friend.
We will remember you very fondly.

I was a patient of Dr Braunstein and a friend, he started seeing me as a patient approximentely one year ago, he was an honest Doctor and cared deeply for his patients, I remember how caring he was and answered every question I had with such compassion and understanding, I have never had a Physician ever take such time and care as he did, I actually had a follow up appointment in January to see how well I had done with my high cholesterol and Tryglcerides, he went to great lengths to find the right medications for me and ones that were not so costly even with insurance, he truly went the extra five miles with his patients I would always leave his office with such positive advise. I felt very safe knowing he would take care of me and give me the right advise, I told him last time I saw him he was truly my Hero and I will always remember him as such, Wendy and family I am so sorry for your Loss, you were Blessed to have such a wonderful person in your lives even though it was for such a short time, I know my husband and I will always be grateful for Dr Braunstein for saving both our lives, Dr installed a pace maker in my husband in June of 2009. without this he would not be here today,Dr Braunstein recognized this after just two visits with my husband who has a 23 yr old heart graft. We feel very Blessed to have had Dr Braunstein as our Dr and as a friend, he will never be forgotten.

To the Braunstein family and Wendy,
Dr. Braunstein has been my doctor since he was at Stockton Cardiology and have followed him and been one of his patients all these years. He was such an amazing doctor but will be remembered for the way he took a personal interest in us not just as patients but as if were part of his family. He shared many special memories that he had with his wife, family and dog. He took his time and really listen and addressed all my heart issues. That is what made him stand out from being a good doctor to a great doctor but more important a good humanbeing. May God comfort all of you with the good memories that you all shared and know that we are praying for all of you at this time. Wendy even when the days weeks and months go by we will continue to keep you in our prayers. In Gods word in Isaiah: He assures us that he is near to those who are crushed in spirit and broken hearted. May God continue to comfort you at this difficult time... Sincerely Linda & David Hernandez

Eric Braunstein changed my life back in the late 90's when he noticed something my PCP missed and he insisted on a complete workup. It was not cancer, but celiac disease and my life has been much better since then. He was a very caring doctor, he will be missed.

I grew up with Eric in Redwood City, Ca. He and his family were my next door neighbors. Our Mother's were best of friends for years. This brings great sadness to my heart to hear about his passing. I have great memories of our childhood and will cherish them. My sympathies to his father Richard, brothers Robert, Kenneth and wife Wendy.

My first appointment with Dr. Braunstein was when his practice was across from
Dameron Hospital. I was immediately impressed by his thoroughness, and the
amount of time he spent with me. Something you rarely find in a doctor these days. My wife was also a patient of his, and she was equally impressed with him. My last appointment with him was October 22nd,
and he came into the exam room with the loudest, multiple colored shirt I have ever seen. As usual, he spent at least a half hour with me. We were both shocked to hear of his passing, and will truly miss him. Our sympathies to his wife, Wendy, and the rest of his family and friends.

Dr. Eric saved my life about 10 years ago. After a mild heart attack he became my cardiologist. I developed a lump on my groin that my primary doctor told me was merely a hematomy from my angiogram. On my next visit to Dr. Eric he looked at it and sent me directly to St Joseph's for an exam. It turned out to be stage 2 lymphoma. Had he not intervened I could be dead today. Thanks good friend and doctor and God Bless.

Dear Wendy,
Our hearts go out to you, what a tragic loss. We are truly sorry.
As a physician, Eric was amazing. He was able to reverse my mother's CHF without employing any invasive procedures. As he was with all of his patients, he was kind and patient with my mother, He took his time to understand her and treat her appropriately. The last visit she had with him he told her she would live a long, long life. She is 85 years old, she loved him.
While we appreciated Eric as a physician, we loved him as our neighbor. We will always remember Eric and Max out on the lake in your little boat, enjoying the swans, the geese and the ducks as the sun set. We smile thinking about your endeavors to raise baby ducks, dedicated to keeping them safe until they could be returned to the lake. And of course, we fondly remember little Max and the love the two of you had for him.
We knew Eric to be a talented, sensitive, upstanding man. Wendy, if there is anything we can do, please call us. We are so very sorry for your loss.
