Heartfelt condolences to all the McVadon family on the passing of your father. I served with then Commander McVadon when he was the Commanding Officer of Patrol Squadron 40 at NAS Moffett Field. What I remember most about your dad was his smile and his great concern for the well being of the sailors and officers under his command. He always took the time to ask how one was doing as he knew everyone. He made it a point of serving not just as a CO but as a mentor to his officers in guiding and...

It was my distinct owner to serve with the Admiral at CFK from 86-89 and further honored by him as his Sailor of the a Year. Thank you sir for all you did for our country and your leadership.

I heard about you when I was stationed in Iceland from 92 to 96. What a fantastic career of so many accomplishments and travels. Thank you for your service to our country. Fair Winds and Following Winds, sir. You can stand down, we have the watch.

Eric, Eunice and I will always remember you and your family fondly. Ever since the days we worked together and lived next door to one another in Barbers Point, Hawaii... as new VP-22 pilots. Wonderful days and beautiful memories. We were always proud to call you friends! RIP buddy. BOB .

I had the privilege of serving under him as COMFAIRKEF 87-89. He was a super boss and a class act. RIP Admiral, we have the watch.

RIP Hero. It was such an honor to have served with you when we were both in VP-22 together and to have been the Tacco in your crew.

I served under him at VP40 when he was the CO. He was a great commander and just a great person. I was Mr. Vice at the change of command when he was leaving VP40. Our thoughts and prayers to his family.

I was in AIMD while he was C.O. of the Keflavik base, and served as his Command Senior Chief for a few months when the CMC was off of the island. He was a fair and caring man.
