China Grove, North Carolina - Our beloved Brother, son and your friend, Eric Neal Robertson (aka Wormy), 59 of China Grove, NC, died of natural causes January 5, 2022.
Baptized and raised at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Charlotte, NC, Eric was very involved in youth group, choir and touring choir. He was also a Boy Scout.
He was a Graduate of West Charlotte High School, class of 1980 and a member of the DECA club. Eric attended Central Piedmont Community College obtaining an Associates Degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management.
Eric was a Truck Driver, Owner Operator since 1986.
Predeceased by his Mother, Donna Carol Shulenburger Robertson. Eric is survived by Father William Neal Robertson, Charlotte, NC, Sisters Carol Robertson Nimmons, Augusta, GA, Julie Robertson Balderston and Mary Robertson Frye, both of Charlotte, NC. Nephews and Nieces, Bo Nimmons, Augusta, GA, Elizabeth Nimmons, Austin, TX, Emily Nimmons Dowdy, Lola Dowdy (Great Niece), Norfolk, VA, Cavin Balderston, Richmond, VA, Sofia Balderston, Charlotte, NC, Thompson and Graham Frye, both of Charlotte, NC, Uncle Duard (Pee Wee) Shulenburger, Landis, NC and all of his many friends.
Growing up, Eric wanted to be a truck driver like his Uncle Pee Wee. He was an amazingly sweet big brother to his three adoring younger sisters and the most loving uncle to his seven nephews and nieces. Eric loved sitting on his front porch looking out over his beautiful property. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes with his favorite buddies and hanging out at the Kannapolis Moose Lodge. Eric loved the beach, but if he forgot his sunscreen, he would be scorched!
