Not sure what to say?

Just learned of Eric's death. Eric was my roommate for a few month back in the early 70s. I went to Notre Dame so you can imagine the banter between us. He was a good guy and a great ball player for the Yellow Bees. R.I.P., Eric.

Eric and I were both freshman football players in summer of 65 both of us knew no one when we arrived Eric quickly established himself as dominant defensive player and only an untimely injury kept him from stardom Eric on the surface was gruff and demanding but that was only a ploy because he had a heart of gold I can still hear his deep hearty laugh when amused I regret out paths haven't crossed recently

Entering GA Tech in the fall of 1967 to play football, I was a few years behind Eric and as a freshman became well aware of his reputation as a fierce player and competitor which was only exceeded by the fierce looks he gave to us freshmen. So it was with a lot of trepretation when as a sophmore showing up for summer practice, I found my self assigned to room with Eric at the famed Tech Motel for summer practice. He was listed as the starting middle linebacker and I was his understudy backup...

Have not seen Eric for many yrs, but one lasting memory was his love for bumper pool while @ Tech. Love and Sympathies to the Wilcox family.

Eric and I were Football Team mates and incoming freshman together the Fall of 1965 . Our Freshman team had many from the State of Georgia so those of us from other states naturally came together quickly those first 30 days of practice before school started .Eric and I also pledged Phi Delta theta , and played on defense our 4 years at Tech . Thou after College , Eric and I went to different states to begin our careers , we could meet for a Football weekend and our friendship was restarted...

I met Eric through my brother Kim at Ga. Tech. They were room mates at one time during football season. I would run into Eric once in awhile at the Atlanta Airport. It was always a pleasure talking with him. I'm sure he, Coach Dodd and Kim are already talking football. My prayers go out to his family.

I was a Classmate and Teammate of Eric. Eric was a good friend and an outstanding athlete. Eric made some of the loudest tackles ever heard on Grant Field
.
Sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers go out to his family. .
