To Dr. Hirsch' Family
I met Erwin almost 25 years ago as an administrative assistant at the then Boston City Hospital. He was rough on the edges, but a man who was determined. We crossed paths several times, but when my sister, Karen, needed surgery, I consulted with him and although he had to go in more than once he stated "I will find out what is causing her belly pain".
