Mrs. Naanes was my favorite teacher of my entire educational life. We've kept in touch from third grade to subsequent visits, telephone conversations, and letters as recently as a few weeks before she passed. She is featured in my published memoirs and lives in my heart and memory as one who has always inspired me.
