Estelle was like a second mother to me. Her class, style, grace, remarkable heart, sense of humor and sheer beauty just touch on a few of the qualities that made her so special. She touched so many lives and helped so many people. It was a joy and honor to know her. Her passing is one that will be felt by many. I will never forget Estelle, and will always cherish having her as a friend and mentor. My condolences to the family.

The Georgetown Day School community sends our deepest sympathy to the Lefkowitz and Miller families. Mrs. Gelman's generous endowment of our library continues to enrich the lives of our High School students and she will be remembered always.

My most sincere sympathy to the Lefkowitz and Miller families in this time of sorrow. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as you travel through this dark valley. I still think of her every time I hear a Rod Stewart ballad, and always will.

Estelle touched our lives in a unique way. She brought our family from Russia in 1990 and remained our angel guardian ever since. We feel blessed having known her. She will be missed terribly.
