Not sure what to say?

My prayers to your family after all these years, but I grew up with many stories about "Gene" Borowski from my father, Richard "Dick" Nowack of Chicago, IL. My father and "Borowski" were high school buddies at Von Steuben, Chicago and beyond. My father has been gone for some years now but I still remember his fondness and pride in his friendship with "Gene" and I know they are both "flying high" wherever they may be now. Sue Nowack

Carol and family,

I was deeply saddened to hear that "The Boss" is golfing with Christ! We will all miss him so very much. He was a GREAT Air Force Officer. Both of you had such huge and profound impact on Leanne and I. Carol and family--we're not sure if you remember us, but we knew you in Tucson. We thought so highly of Gene--he was a charismatic person and just a good person. Our heartfelt thoughts are with you. We now live in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Dustin, our son, is now 23, and we have a photo of you and Gene holding Dustin when he was about 3 weeks old! Our best to you all.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Mrs. Borowski, this is Fred Rew, hope you remember me! I sure do remember you and Col. Borowski as well as David, Michelle and Liz.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have so many found memories of our time together on Guam. In particular I can remember talking to your husband about engineering one night after Typhoon Pamela when nobody had electricity and we all sat outside eating food cooked on the grill before it spoiled. I think those early discussions about engineering...
