Not sure what to say?

My sister, Phyllis Hartung attended Immanual Lutheran school at the same time as Gene and Arlette. Phyllis and Lette were best friends. Phyllis died in 2023, a few days short of her 99th birthday. Beverly Hagen (Phyllis's sister)

Rev. Eckhardt was the reason Marguerite started church when he did his walks asking everyone to attend his church services. That was his early days in Topekas' Christ lutheran chuch. She died 2 years ago in March. Maybe they will see each other. Let your hearts be consoled.

Caring about your sorrow, remembering you in prayer. Pastor Eckhardt was a gentle spirit, personable, and caring. We have many memories, including his Crossways Bible classes.

To the Eckhardt Family:
I am sorry to here of Pastor's passing but I know that his belief has now set him free. During the time I worked with him, I knew he was someone who really believed and he taught me so much. My prayers are with your family in your time of need.

To the Eckhardt family, especially Judy and Jeanette:
My thoughts and prays go out to you in this your time of loss.
Judy and I were in Topeka Lutheran School together.

I have fond memories of Pastor Eckhardt and his family. My family was part of the mission church of Christ Lutheran. I remember Pastor Eckardt's easy laughter and humor, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment. Also of strong recall was how his expanding family would be piled in the back pew of the church every Sunday. God bless all of you!
