Not sure what to say?

Col. Hynes,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army-especially during WW II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I am so sorry to hear about Gene passing. I will always remember him
coming to visit when I was young. Bringing with him Eugene & Dennis.
You all have my deepest sympathy/ Betty Ann Mader Bour

I never had the honor of meeting Mr Hynes, but my best friend, his granddaughter, Sara Hynes Robins, talked about him often over our 25 yr friendship. Sending love & blessings to the family!

To the Hynes family:
Mr. Hynes was like a Grandfather to me. How I loved him so. I have known him my entire life. Growing up next door, and hanging with Chris, are times I enjoyed very much. I will forever cherish the memories I have of him, and of his friendship with my grandparents. My heart goes out to each of you during this time of sorrow. God bless you all.

Always "Dad" to me, especially when my own father died. He was there for me in so many ways when I needed it most. He was an honorable man who loved his family and country. He took pride in everything he did. I am blessed to have known him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family in this sad time.

May Gene's soul rest in peace and may God bless his family. Gene was the last living Charter Member of Knights of Columbus Joseph I Driscol Council 4497. He lived his life as a loving cristian and patriot. He will be missed.

Gene Hynes was a highly respected and loved resident of the Palisades Retirement Facility. He always had a kind greeting for everyone and treated all with the same quiet, gentle manner. Our lives have been enriched for having known him. Our deepest sympathy is extended to his family. Jacqueline Conley
