My sincerest condolences to you and your family for the loss of your father in law. I don’t know what else to say except that our prayers are with all of you. I do want to personally thank your family for choosing St. Jude Children’s as the organization to receive donations in lieu of flowers. As a father of a child who has leukemia I can say from experience that every dollar counts.

How ironic that a man I consider one of the greatest Americans I've known is actually a German! I don't think there is anything Eugene has ever said to me that I don't remember because I place such a high value on his opinions and advice. Eugene's wisdom, humor, generosity and friendship have had a greater impact on me and my family than I can ever describe. I will miss him dearly but always treasure my time with him. My best wishes to all the Koenig family.

Dear Susi, Kevin, and girls,
We are very sorry about the loss of your Dad. I hope you will find comfort in knowing that your family, far and near, are thinking and praying for you. When you have a special Dad, as you did, you will have wonderful memories in your heart forever. As parents, you will pass those cherished memories of him on to your girls. What a great way to honor him. With our love and sympathy. Uncle Bill and Aunt Sandy

I work for Hancock Lumber Co. in Maine and have been associated with Eugene because of our company machinery and technical needs. Not only was Eugene's industry experience and technical knowledge top notch, he was a great communicator and relater. Eugene was friendly, sincere and accomodating and I feel a friend. Hancock Lumber Co. will miss Eugene. I will miss Eugene. My condolences to family and friends.
