Gene worked with my dad (Jeff Polzin) at the Krohn Clinic. For many years, my mom would host a holiday party where my sisters and I would help serve food to guests. This would be followed by an auction of various items-the purpose of which I am not entirely sure, but one year there was a stuffed raccoon (a toy, not taxidermy-with my mother you never know) and Gene and Janet bid won the item and gifted it to me. i worked with Dr Krohn at Krohn Clinic for many years. He was so kind and caring and always there for a question or chat. He left an imprint on Black River and will be at peace, happy and content in heaven. He loved life and lived life and will be missed.

Dr Gene was a truly wonderful man. We are all the privileged to have known him. I have the privilege of working with him in the hospital as a NA. He also allowed me to observe an appendectomy. I was able to see my parents weekly in Melrose and have supper with them. Dr Gene walked me across the stage when I received my MD from UW Madison...
