I am deeply saddened to hear of Gene's passing. I can't help remember
all the laughs and the smile he brought to my face everyday. His stories were
legendary as was his heart, which he proved time and time again. He really never
did forget his roots and his community. He was a special guy and will be missed by everyone.

My sincere condolences to the entire Meyers & Barna family. I never met Gene but I know of all the good he has done for others in his lifetime,people who give to others as he did are truly special.

My sincere condolences to the Meyers family at this time. I was sorry to hear of Gene's passing.
I have been a customer of Hawthorne Chevrolet for many years and have always respected how Gene built the business into the best dealership in the state.
He will be missed but his memory will remain to all that knew & dealt with him.
