I had the privilege of working with Gene for 2 years at ASB in the 80s and informally for many years after. Gene's desire to keep learning and improving his skills lasted a lifetime.

Gene was a highly valued member of our Piano at Peabody group, where he shared his amazing talent with us, always polished and expertly executed. He was an inspiration! I had the good fortune to be at his 90th birthday recital where I met gracious Dorothy. Was it at that recital, or at another time, where I heard him play a duet with his son?
