Eugene Robert "Gene" Severson

My memory of Mr. Severson goes back to his 6th grade homeroom at Northridge. I remember he had a turntable behind his desk and that he would be playing Neil Diamond albums during free time. How thrilled he must have been through the years to hear "Sweet Caroline" sung during breaks at athletic events in stadiums and arenas around the country. We loved Gene & Leann through sports card shows. And while living in Bismarck, John loved to visit at both of their getting their mail at their post office box meetings. They both loved the Yankees & coached their team from their recliners! He certainly was an influence in his sporting life especially respected for youth involvement. He will be missed by the both of us.
