Gene was an awesome man of music. He directed with passion and made the Rittman Band better than we ever thought we could be. His strength and kindness will never be forgotten. It was a pleasure being taught by you. Rest in peace Mr. Sharick.

Mr Sharick made an everlasting impression on our Class of '66 at Rittman High School. His special touch for the excitment on the field for our marching band made football and our community stand above the rest. Thanks and may God Bless you Mr. Sharick as your music plays on.

So sorry I did not ever have the chance to meet Gene. I have heard so many wonderful things about him from Lorna, my sister in law. He sounded like a wonderful human being. I know Lorna will miss him.

The Rittman High School Class of 1961 wishes to extend our sympathy to Mr. Sharicks family. He was the band director during our four years at RHS. Over the years he also attended many of our class reunions. He was respected by all and did many good deeds for the schools as well as the community of Rittman.
