Hardly seems like it could have been over 4 years since we lost Eugene, just as we were gathering for another class reunion. More of our classmates have passed since then, and we will miss all of them, always.

Eugene was a close friend with a tender heart. I loved to hear him laugh. He always tried to do right by people he delt with. We started first grade together and graduated high school together. He loved his family and his true friends. I was blessed to be able to call him friend. Louise Harmon

Please accept my deepest smypathy in the loss of Eugene. He was my supervisor when he worked at Rooftop of Va. He was very kind to me and I enjoyed working with him. To the Shockley Family - I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Eugene. We worked for competitor banks for several years in the Hillsville area and became good friends over the years. Eugene was a true gentleman and was well respected in the business community. He will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with the family during this time of loss.

Heard of Eugene's passing on Monday morning and saddened with the loss of another friend and classmate, of many, many years. Always friendly and kind to me in school and afterward. Sending my heartfelt condolences to the family.
