I was greatly saddened when I heard about Mr. Eugene Wimby's passing. He was one of my father's best friends from childhood in the Old Fourth Ward. As an adult, I communicated with Mr. Wimby at First Congregational Church while I was in Atlanta. Once I moved to Texas, I enjoyed hearing how Mr.Wimby was doing on my visits back to Atlanta, and it was good to talk with him on those visits. He was a good person, and a faithful friend to my father, John Buck. ...

I've just heard of Mr. Wimby's passing. I knew him in the late 60's and again in the 70's after I graduated form BTW. He always had a word of wisdom for me when I would see him. My thoughts and prayers to you.

To the Family of Mr Eugene Wimby, We never lose the people we love, even in death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.
