Eugenia Harrelson

WINSTON-SALEM – Mrs. Eugenia Taylor Carroll Harrelson, 96, died Monday, October 3, 2011, at Arbor Acres.

She was born July 10, 1915, in Whitakers, NC to Mr. and Mrs. Osceola Kinchen Taylor. Mrs. Harrelson was an executive with Sears during her working years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harold Bayne Carroll; her second husband, Warren Everette Harrelson; a daughter, Sherri Harrelson and a grandson, Ty Carroll.

Mrs. Harrelson is survived by a sister, Katherine Taylor Dove of Staunton, Va.; a brother, Roland Arrington Taylor of Rocky Mount; a daughter, Lynn Carroll Haley and husband, Michael Winder Haley of Greensboro; a son, Harold Taylor Carroll and wife, Charlotte Casler Carroll of Sneads Ferry, NC; two granddaughters: Dr. Leigh Haley Jones and husband, Dr. Drew Alexander Jones of Greensboro, and Elizabeth Lynn Haley Stanley and husband, Joseph William Lineberger Stanley Jr. of Greensboro; one grandson, Brooks Arrington Carroll and wife, Brielle Majeau of Boston, Mass.; and five great-grandchildren: Alexandra Haley Jones, Davis Winder Jones, William Cameron Jones, Margaret Lynn Stanley and Joseph William Lineberger Stanley III.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 7, at Forsyth Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Arbor Acres, 1240 Arbor Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
