Bedford, Texas - Evan Dean Stackfleth, of Bedford, TX passed away on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022. He was born on January 10th, 1932 in Anthony KS to Ellis and Elma Stackfleth. He graduated from Anthony High School and Kansas State University. He later got his Master of Science at Trinity University and Ph.D. from Purdue. He joined the Air Force after college, and while stationed at Lackland AFB in San Antonio met and married Jean Francis. During their military years, they were stationed in several places, made many lifelong friends, and enjoyed traveling with close friends and family. After he retired, he worked at several companies, including Seville/ Flight Safety/ Hughes Training and Colley Enterprises. He also was a member of the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) and enjoyed learning from the group.
Dean was a member of Martin United Methodist Church and was active in the Good News Sunday School class. Dean is survived by his daughters Janice and Susan of Bedford, several nieces, and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Jean, his brother Lee and his parents. Visitation is being handled by Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Colleyville, and the service will be held at Martin UMC Bedford.
