Not sure what to say?

He was a good friend and a good guy to be around. He was so smart and talented. I hole his family and all of us will always rememeber he's still with us but in our hearts.

Dear Tanner Family,
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss and apologize for the lateness for I just found out today. To Shawn I hope you find the strength to carry on. To the family, I hope many prayers find there way to you to get you through these hard times.

Dear Tanner Family -- I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear son, grandchild, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. I didn't know Evan, but I've heard nothing but praise about him. I could never write anything that could ease your hearts, but I quote Don McClean from his ode to Vincent Van Gogh in the song, "Vincent," by saying -- "This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you." My sincere condolences to your entire family.

The day we got together as sophomores on November 23, 2013

My deepest condolences go out to Evan's family in this time of sadness and grieving. My name is Allie Farris, and I met Evan the summer before our freshman year at St. Anthony's together. I'll never forget seeing him for the first time in his cowboy boots and a big cowboy hat, and noticing for the first time how handsome he was. We didn't have any classes together our freshman year, but sophomore year we had geometry class together. This is how we got to know each other better, and eventually...

Evan it still doesn't seem real that you are gone. It was just last year, we decide to become best friends. I could alwayd count on your smile and wise thoughts to get me through the day, even the super hard ones.

Evan it still doesn't seem real that you are gone. It was just last year, we decide to become best friends. I could alwayd count on your smile and wise thoughts to get me through the day, even the super hard ones.

We are distraught and heartbroken to hear about Evan. We pray The Lord bless you all, help touch your spirit and cover you with His love. Please know we loved Evan very much, and will always remember him with a heart of joy and a smile.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Tanner family for your loss. I cannot image the loss of a child. I have known Sue for 24 years and have kept up with the family thru her. Please know that the loss will be part of the rest of your life but enjoy all the good memories and know it will get a little easier every day.

I didn't know Evan for that long, but when I did know him, he was everything a friend could ask for. It makes me sad that I never had a chance to say goodbye proper, but I know he rests in a better place. I am saddened by the loss of such a wonderful person, and I will keep him in my thoughts.

"Your St. Luke's family is deeply saddened by the loss of your brother and son. We will hold the wonderful memories of this young man in our hearts forever. May God bring you peace. The Barrow Family-St. Luke's Episcopal School 2016
