Not sure what to say?

Truly heartbreaking to hear. Evan was in my platoon while stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska, 2003-2006. Evan worked hard and played hard but you could always count on him. Evan was a great entertainer and was always the center of attention. RIP brother, we have the watch.

Rest easy soldier.. like my brother Kim.. sadly too soon.. praying for his family during this tremendous loss.

You will forever be one of my Rucker boys! I will miss you dearly my friend! Rest easy Evan! Always, Kimmy

Here he is on stage in Afghanistan, singing "the nothing song."

I was in C864th Engineers stationed in Alaska with Utterback. We served in Afghanistan together. I´ll never forget they did a talent show during our deployment. He got on stage and sang for us the "nothing song". To this day I remember that song. He was a great soldier and he was a great person. May he rest in peace.

To Dave and family, I am so sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.

I am so beyond heartbroken. I met Monroe as a passenger in my Uber car. He touched my life in ways I can't even begin to say. He was such a good person. He had such an amazing heart and cares immensely for others. Especially his cat, they unexpectedly adopted each other. We stayed in contact and I'm just heartbroken to find out he is no longer here. There are people that are put in your life that put footprints on your hearts and Monroe was one of them for me!! He even gave me the honor...

A huge loss for everyone that knew and loved Evan. Growing up, everyone could always count on Evan for a smile or a joke. His service and sacrifice for our country can never be repayed. Our world is a worse place without him.

Never a dull moment when Evan was around and his ability to make life a party will be missed in this world! The guy could make you laugh like no other and I have many memories of our time joking around in school together while also playing soccer as kids. Peace and love, my friend, from one class clown to another...
