EVANS WILLIAMS Obituary

EVANS WILLIAMS Evans Williams, 90, of Las Vegas, passed away Nov. 29, 2014. He was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Schaal, Ark. He was named one of the most successful African-American entrepreneurs as CEO of Dalton Construction Company, Evans developed both commercial and residential properties throughout Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Evans' legacy of real estate development will impact the Las Vegas community for many years to come. He was preceded in death by his son, Evans Jr.; and daughter, Renee. He leaves to mourn his daughters, Lisa, Wendy and Michelle; granddaughters, Aaliah and Makiah; grandsons, Bernard and Elijah; great-granddaughter, Jamilah; great-grandson, Jordan; the love of his life, Edna Green; sons, Stanley, Robert, Terrence, Bryan, Steven and Ronald; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5. There will be a second visitation 9-11 a.m. Sat., Dec. 6, with services following, all at Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89129. Memorial services will be at noon Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Simpson Family Mortuary, Inglewood, Calif. Burial following at Angelus-Rosedale Cemetery, 1831 W. Washington Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90007.
