Evelyn LaBauex Veal

Evelyn LaBauex Veal, native of New Iberia, LA resident of Roseville, CA, entered into eternal rest on June 13, 2021. Evelyn was a 1955 graduate of S.U. Lab School and attended Southern University. She attended church in the Sacramento area, but remained a faithful member of Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church here in Baton Rouge. Evelyn was a retired Program Technician from the CA Secretary of State Office. She traveled extensively with her husband who was in the U.S. Air Force, to Alaska, Turkey, Germany and many states. Evelyn loved cooking Louisiana cuisine, arranging flowers and sharing her love with her family. Evelyn leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Mannie Veal; her children, Glenda, Sonja, Bruce (Charlotte), Gerald (Maria) and Camille Veal; one brother, Murry LaBauex; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law Nora Veal, two brothers-in-law William Veal and Freddie Woods Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everlenia and Valcoure LaBauex; three sisters Laverne Woods, Leveria Watson (Freddie), and Mae Francis Wade (A.C.); a dear sister-in-law Constance LaBauex; and her mother and father-in-law Preston and Louise Veal. Services today at Mount Vernon Mortuary Chapel, Fair Oaks, CA.
