I remember, we met along with her sister, May Chew, when we were 10, going to Chinese school after regular elementary in True Light Church on Mulberry Street, Chinatown. It was a struggle for us because we both came from upper Manhattan & hurry up, hop on the M15 (2nd Ave bus) to be there by 4:30. At 6PM, school ended. I would walk with Fay & May to their Grandfather's restaurant (beginning of Mott St) to wait for their Mom. I would then go met my Mom at the garment factory. Fay only stayed...

Fay was sweet, smart and sensitive, and a true unsung hero in our community. We loved her for bringing out the best in people and we’ve had the opportunity to work with her at Hamilton Madison House, MOCA, AALDEF , the Chinatown Health Clinic, the Brooklyn Musuem and Asian American Federation. Her sprit will endure although she will be greatly missed. With admiration and gratitude for our long time friendship, our hearts go out to Karl, Amy, and all her family ,
