Faye M. Anastasoff

Faye was quite a special woman who I was blessed to know. Many hours were spent talking, sharing stories, having lunch and more. , We drove around St. Louis before she moved to Santa Fe looking at her prior homes, sentimental spots and of course she wanted to go back to Meramec school. She wanted to look one last time at her home away from home and reflect on her work family and children. we were able to see the statue and bench she lovingly gave when she retired. Faye had all 3 of our children. She greeted them each morning with a song.. her upright piano displayed proudly in her classroom. She taught us that Meramec was a family and that our kids were a part of a circle of friends. Her songs still ring in our heads... what a wonderful teacher

Faye was a wonderful teacher. And, a warm, caring person. She taught our sons at Meramec School in Clayton. She added a great deal to the joy and experience of learning for over 1,000 children in Clayton alone.
