Fellie Mack Shirden Knight

Knight Fellie Mack Shirden Knight, of Summit Station, Ohio, went home to his LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 after an extended hospital stay due to a heart attack. Fellie was born September 19, 1936 in Lesage, West Virginia to John Fletcher and Airetta (Hagley) Knight who both predeceased him. He was also preceded in death by a sister Loretta Jean, brother Norbert Emery and son Fellie Mack Shirdon, Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Gwendolyn "Sue" (Crawford), for whom he has lovingly cared for at home the past couple of years; his children, Deborah "Deb" (Wes) Cooper, Billy (Brenda) Knight, Kimberly "Kim" (Leonard, Jr.) Holstein; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; his brothers, Austin A. (Carol), John "Johnnie" R. (Misty), and James "Jimmie" M. (Debbie) Knight, all of West Virginia. Retired Teamster (Local 413) truck driver. He loved raising a vegetable garden, tinkering in his workshop, watching OSU Buckeyes, and when he was younger, golfing, hunting, fishing, and raising hunting dogs. More recently, Fellie was a homebody who enjoyed caring for Sue, as well as his special pet, Peanut. Fellie was a member of Summit Station Community Freewill Baptist Church. Visitation is Monday, October 17, 4-8 p.m. at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., (SR 310), Pataskala. Funeral is Tuesday, October 18, 10 a.m., with visitation at 9 a.m., at Fairview Free Will Baptist Church, 15271 Vance Rd., Mt Vernon (off SR 661). Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
