Not sure what to say?

Father Flav was so kind to us when our brother passed unexepectedly. Our family was in shock. Father Flav sat with us, remembered our brother and his funny ways, and shared with us in our great sorrow. Thank you Father, for your kindness. You will always be remembered by our family.

So sad to hear of Father Flavian's passing. I used to visit my fiancé for a year and half before she moved to New York. Went to mass every Sunday at OLA when I was in town. Loved talking with Flav after mass and at Fiddler's. A truly holy and loving priest. He will be missed. Ed Conroy, Huntington, New York

I miss you every day, Flave! You will forever be in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks for being such a great friend.

Father Flavian officiated our marriage forty years ago in Roseburg. We have exchanged Christmas cards with him for nearly all forty of those years, filling him in as our family grew. We were married during our first year of law school and crammed our marriage prep with Father into a few weekend trips home from school between August and December. It was Father who chose our wedding date, The Feast of the Holy Family, which at the time went right over our heads, but we have appreciated more...

I will always remember Fr Flavian sitting on the floor in our kitchen talking with me as I prepared dinner. He refused to sit on a chair at the table, he sat with his back to the door and said to remember him as coming in the back door of our home and enjoying our family life. He also prayed for me, a very nervous 42 year old finally getting my drivers license. His words when Sam died were very comforting (I knew the two of you went for an after dinner smoke). Thank you Fr Flavian, rest in...

Father Flavian, my dear cousin. I will always remember you until we meet again.
Jane Wooder.

I am reminded of my Uncle
Micheal - Father Cyril - who went to Rochestown, was assigned to St Francis High School and spent his final years in Solvang where he passed away on 17th January 2002. They must have been good friends and judging by Flavian's smile both were a couple of rogues.

May they all rest in peace.

Dearest Flav, you were one of earths' authentic and graceful souls. Healing, supporting and guiding all in a gentle, effective and fantastically humourous fashion.Marrying Michael and I and baptising our daughters was hugely important and memorable for us. We all miss you and I will always remember your wise words "if you're in a situation where you're not growing then it's not right for you".thank you for being such a big part of our lives it was our privilege knowing you. Lots of love...
