I was privileged to sit at the same table at a big Gala for the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, in 2019, with Florence Davis. I knew nobody, and these were celebrities in my eyes as a military caregiver fellow representing North Carolina. Florence made it a point to engage me in conversation and ease my burden. I found your mother to be extremely bright, tough but fair, and a pleasure to work with. She contributed so much to the betterment of us all. She will be truly missed. With best regards.
