Florence LaBombard Obituary

Florence Elizabeth (Betty) LaBombard

Lyme, NH - Betty LaBombard passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 14, 2026, after a lengthy decline with dementia.

Betty was predeceased by her husband, Anthony "Tony" LaBombard, with whom she shared a lifetime of partnership and many laughs. She is survived by her daughter, Adrienne "Adi" Marie LaBombard (married to Kristopher Macintosh) who lives in Western Australia with her cherished grandchildren, Lana and Zoe Macintosh.

Betty was in Australia for Lana's birth and early months and the girls were a constant source of pride and joy for her. In more recent years, the girls loved visiting their nanny, spending precious time reading and drawing together.

A respected vascular ultrasound technologist, Betty was admired throughout her professional career for her skill, dedication, and compassion. She was a frequent presenter at radiology conventions.

Betty was devoted to her family. The eldest of six, she was a caring and generous sibling loved by her brothers and sisters. She made regular trips home to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia to be with family and visit her childhood home. She loved to be with friends. She was an avid reader and treasured her time turning pages in her 'sun room' and discussing literature with her beloved book club. Her beautiful home in Lyme, surrounded by a stunning and meticulously tended garden, was a gathering place filled with warmth, laughter, and hospitality.

Betty also loved to travel, creating lasting memories on trips with friends and family throughout the US, Canada, Ireland, France, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

She was insatiably curious and never stopped learning. From making clothes, halloween and dance and costumes for Adi to reupholstering furniture - she believed in being self-sufficient and she never shied away from a bit of hard work.

Betty was an accomplished watercolor painter, an avid gardener, and a wonderful cook, famous among family and friends for her delicious tomato pie.

Though dementia gradually took much from her, Betty will be remembered as creative, strong, loving and extraordinarily generous.

The Funeral will be held in Nova Scotia in the summer of 2026.

I worked with Betty for many years. But my fondest memories of work are not worked related. She introduced me to green peppercorn pate and I still make her recipe of cranberry cardamom holiday bread each year. The recipe is in her handwriting. I have treasured it always.
This news of her passing saddens me as I have many memories of our time working together. My sincere condolences to her precious Adi and her family.

I send sincere condolences to Betty´s family and friends. I knew her and Tony in their years living in Lyme. Both were kind, considerate neighbors and are missed.
