I had the pleasure of meeting Florentine when I became her neighbor in 2000. She was apprehensive about getting a new neighbor since my house was constructed on what used to be farm land. Luckily, we became fast friends. Any time I would visit with her in her home, I could count on being there for a couple of hours.
