Mr. Lavender worked for the Chevy dealership in EC whenIfirst moved here. When I took my car in for service I knew if he worked on my car it was in good hands, His children were all very good athletes. I had most of them in my PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASS. They were all very good students. His sons were good football and basketball players. He and his wife could be seen in the stands on Friday night.

My sincerest sympathies to the Lavender family. Mr. Lavender was one of my first coaches in baseball when I was a kid. I sure admired him and credit him for my interests in sports. R.I.P.
