Floyd Newell

Larry & I send our deepest sympathy to all of the Newll family. Floyd & Pearl were great friends to Mom & Dad, Raymond & Lena Keefer. I loved to hear Floyd tell stories about him & Dad in there younger years. I will miss seeing him on Memorial Day weekend. I am sorry I could not be with you but our thoughts & prayers are with the family.

To know Floyd and Pearl was one of the warmest and most dearest part of my life growing up. Floyd had a way about him that made you feel great to just be around him. He alwsys had great stories to tell of which could make you laugh to tears. I'll never forget around the dinner table that every thing Pearl cooked , Floyd told me it was called Gobbidy Goose and it was always delicious. I can't put it into words that can express how much he'll be dearly missed in our hearts.

Once you met Floyd Newell you'd never forget him. He was a character and I mean that in the most respectful way. He cared about everyone around him which made you like him just that much more. I will always remember and miss Grandpa. Some of my best memories were just sitting on the front porch or under the white trunked shade tree out back on Benfield with him and listening to his stories, or when Grandma and I would take lunch to him at his little guard shack.
