Not sure what to say?

Francis D. Hooks,
I wanted to express my sadness to you and your family, I just thought about you today and I called Memphis and I was informed of your passing. You were my high school counselor when I attended Carver High School. I remember talking to you about many things, and you always told me to keep moving forward and seek the good. The memory of those words still are with me today. You loved people and you always worked hard to share that theory with kindness.. I remember when...

The family has our deepest sympathy during this difficult time. I met Mrs. Hooks on the first day that I stepped in Carver High as a 7th grader. She was a very dear person to all students and to us as a Guidance Counselor during our 12 years. Rev. Hooks was our Baccalaureate Speaker in '65 when we graduated.
Your Family remains in our thoughts and prayers.

Marvin L. Green (Carver '66)

My prayers and condolences to the family. Mrs. Hooks was so helpful in guiding me through my college selection process. My family and I were truly blessed to have her let us know of so many options available to minority students. God has called his angel home.

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories and the impact you had on all of our lives. God Bless from the Furr Family.

Thanks for all your work with Memphis Volunteer Placement and the impact it has made upon my life. You were a such a Wonderful person.

Mrs. Hooks, Thank you for ALL of the good work that you did to help the underpriviledged get a hand up in the world. Also, I want to thank you for EVERYTHING that you did for me. You will TRULY be missed.

Prayers and condolences to the family of one of the kindest and most caring leaders the world has known. We were so blessed to have Mrs. Hooks at Carver during the 60s to guide us, to nurture us and get us set to enter into our next level of challenges but we were prepared. God Bless You.

Thanks so much to Frances Dancy Hooks for all she has done and for her incredible spirit and being. Thanks to her family for sharing her with the Memphis community, our nation and world. My thoughts and prayers are with family and friends.

Thank-you for being that BRIGHT LIGHT in so many people Life. Rest in Peace from the Taylor Family. Taylor Family
