Frances McAdams Obituary

MARENGO - Frances McAdams, age 88, formerly of Marengo, passed away Saturday May 17th in Longwood, Fl after a brief illness.

Born in Zanesville, she graduated from Olentangy High School, attended Ohio State University and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Marengo. She was among the first volunteers for the Marengo EMS, and worked at the Winter Park Memorial Hospital, oncology department for many years. She was also a farmer's wife and loving mother of seven children.

Francie loved to travel and had been to many beautiful places. Vacationing to the Grand Canyon, visiting Niagara Falls, and many tropical islands to name a few. She enjoyed frequent visits to Western North Carolina for whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, hiking to waterfalls in the nearby area, and being in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. With family, had frequent day excursions visiting historical places, botanical gardens, art festivals and antique shows.

She was an avid OSU football fan. With a gifted artistic ability, she painted landscapes, did ceramics and made crafts for her enjoyment.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Francis William and Florence Mae Danhauer Noble, her former husband Joseph McAdams, brother Bob and nephew Mike Anderson.

Left to cherish loving memories are her children, Joseph, Jacqualyn, Jane, Suzanne, John, James Timothy, Mark Patrick, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 grand nieces, 1 great grandniece and 1 great grandnephew.

A private celebration of life will be held at her daughter Jacqualyns home.
