Not sure what to say?

Frank Mcmarra was a great person and a mentor to me he was the principal at Caleb Greenwood when I went there in the early 70s I was a pretty good baseball player made all City all Metro catcher of the year in 1981 this guy was a real good man and I learned so much from him I hope to meet up with him in the afterlife and we will all be in our prime and play baseball together my condolences are with his family but I know he will live on I could have never been the man I have become without...

I had Mr McNamara in the 6th grade at Caleb Greenwood Elementary School (1965). I just heard that he passed away in 2020. He was the greatest teacher I ever had and I have such wonderful memories of him. He has remained close to my heart all of these years! What a wonderful man, and one of those special teachers you never forget. I will never forget you! RIP. Janet (Ford) Mattos

Mr. McNamara finished checking a class for head lice for me when I went had to leave his school (I was very pregnant) one day. I was a school nurse, now retired. He was the only principal I ever had who would stoop to do this. He also would drive out to pick up kids who weren´t coming to school. God Bless him!

Dear McNamara Clan, We always loved getting together with the McNamaras. So many great times were shared. BBQs, dancing and singing and a whole lotta baseball! We know you have so many great memories to cherish forever. Love, The Sullivan Clan

What a loss! He was like a father to me and my siblings. So was John. Mugs, you were awesome. Lived life like you are suppose to. I will miss you. The Fontes family loves you like crazy and all the rest of the McNamara's. Can't believe you are gone. Love you, Keith.

I just learned of his passing today. Mr. Mac as I always called him was such a sweet kind man. He taught me at st Patrick's years ago and I still remember him often. He was always genuine and would always sing me the tell Laura I love her song and when Irish eyes are smiling. He use to say my smile was bright and would light up a room. In class assignments and projects he taught us to speak proudly and be confident. He often talked about hard work and how he grew up. May he rest in peace....

I just found out about Frank’s passing today!
He was a great man and a great mentor!
I was blessed to have known him through being a part of the St. Rose & St. Pat’s community for over 30 years!
He was also a very good friend and colleague of my father while they worked together as Principals in the Sacramento City Unified School District for many years.
Frank was one of the most kind, loving, and faith filled men
that I have been blessed to have ever known.

My deepest condolences to the McNamara family. Frank was my mentor for several years at St. Anne School. I admired and learned from Frank each and every day. I became a principal as a result of his guidance and leadership. To this day, as I continue to train and teach... I speak of him often as being that " mentor" in my life.
May God bless always,
Anthony Hinojosa

Dear McNamara Family,
My condolences on your recent loss of Francis “Mugs” McNamara. I am Seth Sandronsky, a former student at Caleb Greenwood Elementary School in the tumultuous 1960s, when Principal McNamara was there. I recall his dynamic spirit that made me feel better no matter what.
Regards,
Seth
