Not sure what to say?

I was his grandson, and he was a very cheerful, supporting, and funny man. He would give me big jars of quarters, worth about $70 each. Whenever we would walk into his apartment to see him, he would try to scare me. At one point, this guy, in his 90's might I add, was crouched on his hands and knees ready to jump up and scare me from behind his chair. He died 2 minutes before we got to see him again. Heartbreaking. Thoughts and love to all the others affected.

Daniel, my deepest sympathy to you and your family in the passing of your beloved father. Your father is forever safe and happy in Heaven and he lives on in you.

Thanksgiving in Houston

Mr. Walsh will always hold a place in our hearts. Our condolences to his children their families and your loss of a man who was a true inspiration. A role model.
We moved to Houston in the early 80's and when Mr. Walsh moved to work for the Houston Chronicle we would get together and it was usually on a Sunday and he would bring the Sunday paper hot off the press. Spaghetti Warehouse was a favorite. We weren't from Houston so the memories of getting together and being homesick was a bond...

Sorry for your loss Danny.

Great guy! Funny, friendly and a great conversationalist. I remember the times we had together and all the laughs with friends and family. The best memory was when Fritz and Danny came to Miami/Keys. He really enjoyed it, fishing, snorkeling, taking walks and taking in nature (which I know he loved). It was a fun time, I will never forget it. I will keep him in my thoughts. My condolences to the family, may they find peace in knowing what a good man their father was.

I only met Mr. Walsh one time over 40 years ago; yet, his jovial spirit touched my heart for a lifetime. I always enjoyed hearing stories of how he touched other lives, as well. He was one in a million. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. May you feel comforted knowing you have a special angel watching over you!

He was Great and Loving Friend and Father to those around me here with His Family in Florida. He will be truly missed on His visits to Florida . We missed you when You went home and We’ll miss you. ✝✝✝ God Bless You and Yours and We will meet again one day in Heaven.
