Frank had a colorful and full life. He was born in Texas, migrated to New York City with his family for a time and then ended up in Madison WI where he graduated from West H.S. He dabbled a bit as a High School football player but decided to use his brain instead of his brawn even though he was...

Not sure what to say?

In July of 1972, when I was barely 12 years old, Frank invited me to shadow him as he conducted his radio talk show. Later, we attended a news conference with Mayor Bill Dyke. That single act of kindness ignited in me a love for journalism and television broadcasting that lasted 40+ years. Thank you brother Frank. My condolences to Frank´s family.

We send our thoughts and deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Frank. We were honored to provide care and support. Sincerely, St. Croix Hospice, team Baraboo.

Mindy and Linda Very sorry to learn about Mindy´s dad. It is not easy when your parents die.

I grew up in Madison in the West High School neighborhood near Frank's house. Around 1962, we had a group of neighborhood kids that would drive out to Verona and go swimming out in the gravel pit. I think that Frank was the only kid with a diver's license; so would drive us out there. We never told our parents. (I believe that our parents would not have approved, because swimming was prohibited at he pit). Peter Mooney

To the Family of Frank Huitt, I have fond memories of Frank working with him at the Wisconsin DOT. He wrote numerous speeches and remarks for me for various highway safety events. I thoroughly enjoyed his stories from when he worked for Governor Schreiber. Frank had quite a career. I had several opportunities to listen to Frank´s musical talents. His WisDOT band, "The Speedbumps" entertained us at several WisDOT events. Frank was a gifted man and we will miss him very much. Sincerely, David...

Happy hours will not be the same without Frank's wit, his political opinions, and his friendly, supportive nature. I feel fortunate that I was able to join the DOT gang.

Former neighbor in the Prospect /Kendall Avenue neighborhood. Condolences from the Schmitts.

Frank was one of my mentors, when I joined WISM AM&FM in 1971. He was a good man and was known and respected in the community.

Frank was a nice, funny, kind soul. I enjoyed my time with him when he visited the clinic. I actually looked forward to seeing him. I am so sorry for your loss, Mindy. Godspeed Frank. Teresa
