I went through Army basic training with Frank at Ft. Polk LA in 1967. He was my best friend during those 8 weeks. When we were granted a weekend leave we took a bus to Alexandria, LA. We stayed at a rundown old hotel, with a rundown old restaurant. My memory is we also had a couple of rundown old steaks. We didn´t care! Nobody was telling us what to do and it was air conditioned!
