Not sure what to say?

Frank Miele was a man of many talents and served our country in different ways. Frank served proudly during the Korean Conflict, with the United States Air Force as a lieutenant. Frank established a bilingual elementary school in NW, Washington DC, visited by former vice president Rosalynn Carter. Frank greatly trusted in higher education and influenced many young students to not give up on their education and to seek a higher ground, through advanced degrees. Frank served as a professor at...

Frank is a real father for all. I stayed in his house for 4 months as a foreign student. He was a father, a teacher, and a friend. He loved his son, daughter in law, and grandson Kevin a lot, and he daily talked proudly about them. Andrew, please keep in touch.

Andrew and family,
We just heard that Frank passed away. We had no idea until today! Frank was an awesome next door neighbor and a great man. His enthusiasm and wonderful smile will be missed in the neighborhood. We shared his love for classical music, opera and figs! Perhaps our fondest memories are of him driving into his driveway with the music turned all the way up and sometimes even singing along. We will miss that. Take care and please let us know if there is anything we can...

I went to Oyster Bilingual school back in the late 70s, when he was the principal then, and Ill always remember his kindness to me as a newly arrived immigrant kid. May he rest in peace.

Frank is the reason I have taught at Oyster Bilingual for almost 40 years. A man of vision who set a path for a unique school.
He will be missed.
Roxane Kovin, who was hired by Frank.

Frank will be missed. Hew was intelligent, opinionated and kind. His love of music was inspirational. My sympathies to his family and friends.
