Nancy,
I am sorry for your loss. Though I have not seen your father for awhile, I do remember him at gatherings at your house when our children were younger. He was always the "life of the party" and very interesting to talk to.

The truths within him were self evident and will never be forgotten by those who knew him. I admired his strength and not only of his character. I once remember he told me he would do 50 pushups a day, even in my prime I could not achieve that and I tried because I admired him for that and much more. And then of course his claims casino....mmmmm what can I say "Delicious". And now he has passed and another guide in my life goes his way. Rest in peace my uncle, I will pass on the lessons I learned from you.

That's a great picture for Uncle Hank's obituary. My best memories of him are the meals he made so enjoyable. One in particular was at the beach, when he and Dad were telling stories and cooking fresh oysters in every way imaginable! I am so sad to think he's gone. I wish I could come up to see you all but it's just impossible. Know that you are all in my thoughts and his memory will be always in my heart. Love to you all, and hugs!

To all of the Strickler family,

Uncle Hank was also my favorite uncle. I am so glad that I got to spend some time with him down at Bethany Beach last August...where he preceded to show me how to break apart and eat 'crabs' again. I hadn't done that in at least 30 years! What a pleasure it was to listen to him talk. I always admired (among other things) his intelligence, warmth, debating skills, and love of his family. He will never be forgotten.

I hope that each day ahead will bring you all a measure of comfort. He is at peace in the arms of God.

Love to you all,
Trish *Patty Roberts(Wilson)
