Frank was the husband of my first cousin Jane Bates of Swampscott. I remember him as an easy- going, easy-talking guy ten years my senior. I lived in Lynn but spent years working and hanging in Swampscott where my paternal grandmother lived on Andrew Road. Jane´s brother Carl was a best friend during my early years. Dear Carol and the entire Vernava family. We were saddened to hear of Frank's passing. He fought a long and courageous battle. Rose and I were thrilled to discover that we shared our retirement neighborhood with Frank and Carol. We felt privileged to offer our assistance to them while we lived around the corner.
