Fred Douglas Bonner, 87, died January 28, 2017 in Victorville, CA. He made a career of the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1980 as a Chief Master Sergeant after 30 years of service. He fought in the Korean War and served in Vietnam. He received many awards and decorations during his career, including the Purple Heart. Chief Bonner continued to work in civil service following his retirement from the USAF. He is survived by two brothers, Edward and James, his wife of 38 years, Willie, his children, Harold, Janette, Patricia, Diane, and Dale, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by two sisters, four brothers and his son Frederick. Funeral service will be held at Desert View Memorial Park, 11478 Amargosa Rd., Victorville, CA, (760) 244-0007, Friday, February, 10, 2017. Viewing 8:00 am followed by funeral at 10:00. Burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA, (951) 653-8417, Wednesday, February 15, 2017, 01:15 PM.

deepest condolences to my family,I will always remember meeting Bill at our Grandmother's 100th birthday celebration in Rosebud Ala in 1992. He and Grandma Rose told jokes and stories about him coming up with my Mom, his Aunt Susanna.What a thrill to meet a first cousin at such an austere occasion.love to the family.

To my aunt and cousins. So sorry that we have lost uncle Bill. I will miss his many emails where he always passed on some words of wisdom. Although we can't be at the service in person, he will always be in our hearts.
