When we received our fax machines (hi tech back then) Fred was the first one to send jokes via fax to all the stores and main office, which stopped very soon. Rest in Peace Fred. I worked with Fred at Olsons/QFC, he was my meat manager for a few years during that time. Quite the character and tease. I will always have fond memories. My condolences to his family.

Fred had a good heart and would help you whenever you asked, never saying no. Seeing Fred fade as he was the older brother and always the leader was tough. Cindy and I were lucky to visit Fred and...

Didn't get to spend enough time with Uncle Fred but the memories I do have echo what was said already "He was such a funny man". I'll never forget going to the Slaughterhouse, feeding the Oscars, fishing the Green River and of course his voice and laugh. Thinking of you Uncle Fred, spending time with your amazing son Nathan Fred Taft Evans. Love to you both!
