Not sure what to say?

Fred, We always LOVED you so very much. You were more than a friend, but a loved family member in more ways than one. Josh had a wonderful time playing golf with you, but Stace cherished the times when you came to our place in celebration of our shared friendship. We were (and are) so fortunate to know you. May BLESSINGS abound to you and your incredibly beautiful family. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH, Stace & Josh PS. Josh enjoyed celebrating his 50th Birthday with you. Just so wonderful that...

I've spent much of the past two years on the east coast and only recently learned of Fred's passing. I only knew Fred from Robata, but I was so fond of him - what a lovely man. My belated condolences on your loss. I miss Fred - and also Robata. Very sad. May his memory be a blessing.

I have been so saddened by this news and especially since I. hadn´t heard it sooner. Fred was a dear man. He always greeted me so warmly. Robata has been our family sushi place for years it felt like home due to Fred´s warmth. He will be missed.

The whole experience of Robata began with Fred. He had this great way of making you feel special - to have known him for 30+years has been my honor. I think most of Marin will miss Fred.

For some 30 years we've always looked forward to seeing Fred, always at the helm of Robata, always with a smile, great comments, and his sincere welcome.

We can't imagine our world without Fred, and take solace in knowing that all he did at Robata will continue to draw us to his restaurant jewel.

We are also shocked and saddened to learn of Fred's death. Tate, we talked to your dad about how you were doing every time we dined at Robata's. We will miss him so much!

Love and sympathy to the family,
Alison Quoyeser & Gerald Kawamoto

I am shocked by this news!
I met Fred 27 yrs. ago......doesn't feel that long ago.
Fred has always been kind, sincere, generous, fun/funny, the real-deal, and overall good human.
Fred will be sadly missed.
Much love to all family members.

Tate, I am so sorry for shocking loss of your wonderful dad. He was the most upbeat, laid back, fun loving person from my childhood and he remained like that his whole life. Smiling and laughing in his presence was the norm. He will be missed. Teresa
