I've known Fred for who knows how long. At times he was kind of like an uncle. Always there at Thomas's activities and events. It's gonna be hard not being able to hear his voice in reality, but I will always remember it in my soul. Fred,Marlene,Thomas, I love you guys.

To the entire Showalter family,
I will always remember Fred for his humor. In elementary school, he would always "chaperon". I say "chaperon" because the girls didn't like the boys and the boys didn't like girls, but they still called the parents, chaperons. Fred was usually one of the only dads there. It had to be hard being surrounded by moms, screaming girls, and boisterous boys. He always seemed to make the best of the situation. I remember when we had a field trip to Kansas City,...
