FRED WILLIAMS Obituary

WILLIAMS, Fred B. Of Craigville and Southborough, succumbed to pancreatic cancer on Sunday November 14, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Son of Fred and Mary B. Williams of Marlborough, he attended Georgetown University and BC Law School, after which he joined his father's law practice in Marlborough, MA. He recognized the need for community service and was a member and president of the Southborough Library Board of Trustees for 32 years. In this position, he was responsible for a major addition to the building, as well as making the library more accessible to the town.

He was also an avid sailor who loved sailing and racing his Wianno Senior and Beetlecat. He also served as treasurer of the Hyannis Port Yacht Club for over 30 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lee Williams; his two sons, Todd and Mark Williams; as well as his two granddaughters, Annabelle and Abigail Williams.

He will be remembered for his compassionate character, his love of family and his loyal friendships.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Our Lady of Victory on December 6, 2021 at 11 AM followed by Interment at Beechwood Cemetery.
