Frederic Gilbert Dalldorf

Fred and Joanna were super next door neighbors during our time in Chapel Hill. Fred was our favorite "tree guy". Condolences to the family.

I cannot tell you how sorry I was to hear of the loss of Dr. Frederic Dalldorf. I greatly appreciated working with Fred. I worked with him when he was in charge of pathology education in the pathology department. He was a wonderful mentor who cared deeply about medical education and had a positive impact on all of the faculty who taught pathology to medical students as well as on all of the pathology students. It was a great honor to be one of his medical students and I treasure now more then ever my time with him. He made me a better person and better physician. My all time favorite quote from him was, "Fear is a great motivator." He was a wonderful teacher and physician. My thoughts are with his family, thanks for sharing him.
