Not sure what to say?

It is difficult to say goodbye to one who has had such a strong influence in my life, but I was so honored to do so just a week before Fred's death. I will never forget all the skills and life lessons that he taught me as a part of the SLC, as my boss, mentor and friend. You will be missed dear Fred. Your "Gone Fishing" sign is now hung out eternally!

By the tone of the listings from others I know Fred will be missed! My time spent with Fred during the formulation of The Student Loan Corporation (SLC) for Citibank was truly memorable. Being new to the management ranks and going through what seemed to be a gauntlet of interviews in Rochester facility for a management position on the West Coast. I met with everyone who considered me for the open position. At the heart of the day when I got to Fred for the interview he immediately placed me...

Fred and I were competitors, collaborators, business partners and friends. Few people realize that without Fred many of the innovations in the student loan industry would have never come into existance. His love for his family always came first (as he would often share these feelings) but his contributions to an industry that provided funding for the education of countless students will always be remembered. Fred changed lives - his friends, his co-workers, his competitors, and students...

Dear Mary and family, sending you my deepest sympathy and sorrow. Fred was truly a special man and he will be sadly missed. I am sure he is flying on angels wings. May he rest in peace.

I'm proud to remember Fred as first my boss, then my mentor, and finally a friend. He was a significant influence in my life and I quote him almost daily. I also have enough Fred stories to tell for the rest of my life. Fred freely offered knowledge, encouragement, and laughter, and the impact he made on my career contributed greatly to the life my family and I enjoy today. Working with him was exciting, but also fun. Mary, thank you for sharing this remarkable man with the dozens of us who...

Dear Mary and family. My thoughts are with you during this very challenging time. I consider myself very fortunate to have known and worked with Fred for the many years we were at Citibank Student Loans. His dedication to his job, family, and living life to the fullest was very refreshing. Many good times and laughs were shared by all he worked with. Fred's 'firm, fair, and consistent' attitude has been instilled in many aspects of my life. Thank you Fred....you truly are a legend and...

Dear Mary and family,
Our prayers are with you during this difficult time. Sorry we never had the privilege of knowing Fred. God Bless you. Park & Linda Fatica Jones

I learned more from Fred in 2 years working for him than I ever could have learned at a top business school. Fred's unique ability to bring clarity from unrelated experiences was a true gift. I have always appreciated everything that I learned from you, and will treasure the memories. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
