Not sure what to say?

Fred fixed a bat for me many years ago. I was trying to contact him to do another when I found this obituary. Please accept my late condolences on his passing. He was a man of great integrity. He wouldn't accept payment until I got the bat back and was satisfied with what he did. Not many people like that are around anymore. I'll put him in my prayers tonight. Michael Barton. I am sorry to just hear of Mr. Lowman´s passing. He was my 6th grade math teacher in 1999 and remember him so fondly. I would go in every morning during his "office hours" to ask him question after question. I am positive he had lots of other tasks to take care of but never once did he make me feel unwelcome. He left an impression on me through his patience, passion for what he did, and kindness. I am forever thankful for him. He helped me find my love for math and encouraged me to keep...

Fred was a Great Neighbor and Friend over five decades. He will be remembered and missed by our family.

So very sad to hear of Mr. Lowmans passing. Mr. Lowman had such a wonderful impact on my children while they were at Avon Middle School, especially my son Rett. They shared a love of baseball, often tossing the ball back and forth before the school day, and of course many conversations on the Redsox. Mr. Lowman gifted Rett many of his antique baseball gloves, shards of baseball bats from many of the famous baseball players which he was repairing. Rett carefully mounted the cards w bits of...

Paul first met Fred coaching Little League in Barkhamsted. They remained friends throughout the years and enjoyed running into each other over the years and catching up on friends and activities. Fred's presence will be missed

I was so sorry to learn of Mr. Lowman´s passing. Mr. Lowman was my math teacher for two (incredibly lucky) years of middle school in the early 2000s, and I have never forgotten the impact he had on me. His presence in my life was a true gift- especially during those awkward and uncomfortable teen years when I never felt sure of myself, especially not in math class! I´m now a psychologist and frequently have the thought that if I can pass on even half of the kindness, wisdom, and compassion...

I was so lucky to have Mr. Lowman for both 6th and 7th grade math. I had recently moved to Connecticut and was struggling with anxiety from the big adjustment. Mr. L would email me the score of my quizzes and tests the evening after I took them because he knew I would anxiously struggle to sleep if I didn´t know how I did. He never made me feel judged but he also didn´t coddle. He was an incredible teacher, and a true example of how Christ inspires us to live. I am so blessed to have one of...
